Saint Louis Zoo
Located in Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri, the Saint Louis Zoological Park had its beginnings in 1904 when the Smithsonian Institution constructed a walk-through bird cage for the World’s Fair. The Zoo’s beginning was made official with the formation of the Zoological Society of St. Louis in 1910. Today, the Saint Louis Zoo is recognized as a leading zoo in animal management, research, conservation, and education.
