Extreme Dinosaurs opens at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida
Within a month of its opening, "Extreme Dinosaurs" shatters Brevard Zoo's monthly attendance record with 57,637 visitors - against the previous high of 43,779 in the first month of its "Expedition Africa" exhibit in 2003.
Set along a lush tropical trail, the temporary exhibit runs through May 14 and features 12 life-sized dinosaurs including the towering Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Visitors also get a chance to dig for dinosaur fossils and catch a glimpse of the dinosaurs in a night time setting.
